যাদের হিব্রু, গ্রীক সম্পর্কে ধারনা কম এবং যারা পবিত্র
বাইবেলে না পড়েই প্রশ্ন করেন তারাই এমন অদ্ভুত দাবি উপস্থাপন করে থাকেন। মসীহ
শব্দটি এসেছে সরাসরি হিব্রু ভাষা থেকে। এই মসীহ শব্দের হিব্রু উচ্চারন হলোঃ
মাসিয়্যাক [Mashiach] এবং গ্রীক ভাষায় যার অর্থ খ্রীষ্ট।
ইংরেজি ভাষায় এর অনুবাদ হলোঃ Messiah,
Anointed One. এবং গ্রীক ভাষার প্রতিশব্দ হলো Christ.
মসীহ শব্দের অর্থ সয়ং পবিত্র বাইবেল আমাদের কাছে প্রকাশিত
করছে। দানিয়েল ৯:২৬;
(CLV) Dn 9:26
+ After the
sixty-two sevens, Messiah shall be cut off, and there will be no adjudication for
Him. The city and the holy place shall be laid in ruins with~ the other
governor's coming;
then its end is by an overflowing, and until the end of the war, desolations will be
decided|.

Standing by are the kings of the earth, And the chancellors, they are gathered~ together
Against Yahweh and against His Anointed One, saying,
এখানে যে হিব্রু শব্দ ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে তা হলোঃ מְשִׁיחֹו যার অর্থঃ Anointed One, Messiah অর্থাৎ মসীহ, খ্রীষ্ট,
অভীষিক্ত/মনোনিত
ব্যক্তি।

শব্দ বহুবার ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে
